I started knitting because I am amazed at how much creativity can stem from just a needle, thread, and lots of patience. Always drawn towards creating crafts it was natural I would pick up crocheting as a full-time hobby.  Over time I learned to knit using patterns and directions, but soon I was producing crocheted items by just looking at a given pattern.  Sometimes now I even find directions complicated and hard to follow.  I spend many hours a day crocheting and doing housework.

I think crocheting is similar to meditation, you focus on the piece and forget the everyday problems – the mind goes blank, concentrated on only the needle and thread – and nothing makes me happier!
